After the success of the seminar last year, Sentrum Aikido happily announced that Jan Nevelius Shihan will continue holding his second seminar in Oslo this year, 2024.

Training schedules

• Friday, November 22nd: 19:00 – 21:00
• Saturday, November 23rd: 11:00 – 13:00 and 15:30 – 17:00
• Sunday, November 24th: 11:00 – 13:00

We will hold a party on Saturday evening in the dojo. More information will be announced on Friday.

Price

• 850 NOK for the whole seminar.
• 750 NOK for travellers / unemployed.
• 250 NOK / single class

Where to stay

Travellers are welcome to stay at our dojo free of charge. We have a kitchen where you can cook, and a grocery store is located right above the dojo. Bring your sleeping bag. Just make sure to register with the form below so we can arrange it.

Public transport

Ruter App is the app you need to buy tickets. There are several options with pricing, check them out here.

If this is the first time you fly to Oslo, from Oslo Airport station (zone 4N), buy a ticket to Jernbanetorget (Oslo zone 1). The cheapest rate is using the Ruter App. There is another option, Flytoget, but the price is nearly double and it only saves you a few minutes.

• The closest bus station is Brinken (bus nr. 60) and Kjølbergata (bus nr. 20).

NB: Beware of the parking situation, no allotted parking spaces for our dojo. If you drive, you can use EasyPark to find available parking spaces nearby.

The teacher

Jan Nevelius, 7. dan Aikikai, is an Aikido Shihan from Vanadis Aikido in Stockholm, Sweden. Starting in 1975, Jan Nevelius has been training with different Aikido teachers in Sweden and Japan. During the time in Japan, around 1983, he met and got so much inspiration from Seishiro Endo Sensei. After coming back to Europe, he also trained a lot with Christian Tissier Sensei. Both Endo and Tissier senseis have influenced Jan and his Aikido enormously.

In addition to Aikido, Jan Nevelius studied Qigong, Shiatsu, Acupuncture, and Reiki therapist. With acknowledgement from different arts, his Aikido focuses on soft contact and ukemi. With an open mind, seminars with Jan Nevelius are usually giving ideas and inspirations for many Aikidoka, especially to those who want to conduct ongoing research about movement, communication and “the awareness of the contact to solve a martial problem.”

This November, Sentrum Aikido is delighted to offer a weekend Aikido seminar in Oslo with Jan Nevelius Shihan. Regularly, he comes to Trondheim, but this year, we can “borrow” Jan from NTNU Aikido. Welcome!

For those who want to stay at our dojo, yes, you can. Bring sleeping bag with you, we have kitchen and bathroom. A grocery store is located right above the dojo. You can buy and cook yourself if you need warm food. You don’t need to pay for staying in our dojo. Just make sure to register with the form below, so we can arrange it.

Party in the Saturday evening, after training, at VESPA og HUMLA from 19:00. The address is Københavngata 2C. Please pay attention that we are the only guests in that evening, so the food must be pre-payed. The restaurant needs to know how much food they should prepare. More information on this link.
