The teacher

Jan Nevelius, 7. dan Aikikai, is an Aikido Shihan from Vanadis Aikido in Stockholm, Sweden. Starting in 1975, Jan Nevelius has been training with different Aikido teachers in Sweden and Japan. During the time in Japan, around 1983, he met and got so much inspiration from Seishiro Endo Sensei. After coming back to Europe, he also trained a lot with Christian Tissier Sensei. Both Endo and Tissier senseis have influenced Jan and his Aikido enormously.

In addition to Aikido, Jan Nevelius studied Qigong, Shiatsu, Acupuncture, and Reiki therapist. With acknowledgement from different arts, his Aikido focuses on soft contact and ukemi. With an open mind, seminars with Jan Nevelius are usually giving ideas and inspirations for many Aikidoka, especially to those who want to conduct ongoing research about movement, communication and «the awareness of the contact to solve a martial problem
